The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 4 on HBO is set to be released this week, as well as where to find it online.
The Last of Us episode 3 introduced a few new characters that helped paint a picture of what awaits Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey). The entire episode was an emotional ride that had a happy conclusion. Here is everything that happened in season 1, episode 3.
- In the aftermath of what happened to Tess, Joel and Ellie have a bit of an argument. Ellie reminds him that this isn’t her fault and that he had something invested in why it went down.
- Joel and Ellie searched through a gas station where he had some stuff stored. While that happens, Ellie finds an underground area where she sees an infected trapped.
- The show takes us back to 2003 when we met a wild man named Bill. He has built an entire area that includes everything he needs to keep people and the infected away.
- Then we fast forward to 2007 when Bill is still living in the same place. However, someone falls into one of his traps. Shortly after, we find out it is Frank, and he is hoping to find some help. While reluctant, Bill finally lets him in.
- Bill’s plan was to let him shower, feed him and kick him out. One thing led to another, and Bill and Frank ended up in bed together.
- We are in 2010, where Frank and Bill are fighting over some stupid stuff. Frank tells Bill that he has been talking to someone on the radio, and Bill is furious.
- We find out the person he was talking to was Tess. Joel and Tess joined Frank and Bill for dinner. Bill and Joel, being the matching grumps of the entire thing, complain while Tess and Frank have a good time.
- After years of being in the same place, age is starting to catch up to Frank and Bill. Finally, we see the duo take something, and they slowly start to pass together in bed.
- Finally, the entire point of the episode is revealed as Joel and Ellie show up at the house. After much searching, Ellie finds a note that was left for Joel.
- Before they load up the car, Joel breaks down the plan and the rules for the rest of the trip, which includes her not asking a million questions.
- The episode comes to a close, with Joel and Ellie getting in the car and hitting the road.

Episode 4 will be released on HBO on February 5th, 2023. The release date is 8:00 PM EST. The episode 4 is called "Please Hold My Hand" and will last 60 minutes.
