After a few years of illness which had been kept secret from the public, Annie Werschingactress, who played Tess in The Last of Usis, died of cancer at the age of 45.

Despite her young age, Wersching had a long career: among the most well-known recent interpretations is the Queen of the Borg's second season on Star Trek: Picardin, in addition to Renee Walker's 24th season, but there are several TV series in which she has recurring character, among which we find Bosch and Timeless.

She has appeared in several video games projects, but the most well-known is probably Tess in The Last of Us. According to an online fundraiser in support of the family, the actress has been diagnosed with cancer in 2020, but she had not disclosed it to the general public.

"She loved her job and her family, but Steve and the boys were absolutely everything to her," says the family's message. "There is a great hole in the family's soul today," wrote Stephen Full, her husband, "but she gave us the tools to be able to fill it."

Wersching has appeared in Charmed, Killer Instinct, Supernatural, and Cold Case, among other roles. The HBO TV series currently airing on a weekly basis, which has recently renewed for a second season, may pay tribute to her in an upcoming episode.
