Goodbye Skill Tree: Freedom to Power with the Skill Deck System in Dead Island 2

Goodbye Skill Tree: Freedom to Power with the Skill Deck System in Dead Island 2 ...

The zombie slaughter in Dead Island 2 is still in our minds in the new gameplay: we return to the Deep Silver series' splatter universe to listen to James Worrall's comments: the new "dynamic" skill management system, lo Skill Deck

Dambuster, the director of studios, has openly admitted that the Skill Deck is "one of the coolest aspects of Dead Island 2... and perhaps just the most exciting..." The evolution of one's alter-ego will no longer go through the unlocking of branches of a predetermined skill tree, but will instead go through the acquisition of collectible skill cards that, together, will form the Skill Deck.

Players will be able to 'build interactive decks', customizedchoosing from time to time which upgrades to use to explore the setting, complete the main campaign tasks, or devote himself to the pure and simple slaughter of zombies.

According to Dead Island 2's Narrative Designer, Ayesha Khanplayers "you can use one build to jump higher, switch skills in mid-air, and land with a different build."

Dead Island 2 is expected to be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the coming days. In recent days, the Dambuster studios have confirmed that the weapons of Dead Island 2 will be able to break.
