The Hi-Fi RUSH game stands out among other projects, first and foremost, due to its visual style. Many compare it, precisely because of the style, to Jet Set Radio.
IGN interviewed Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer on the visual style similarities between Hi-Fi RUSH and Jet Set Radio. Spencer replied that he also likes Jet Set Radio and wants Jet Set Radio Future in the backwards compatibility program:
The Jet Set Radio game is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, but the Jet Set Radio Future project was not included in the backwards compatibility program.
