'You People,' a romantic comedy film directed and co-written by Kenya Barris, follows Ezra, a single working man who lives a gloomy and monotonous existence until he meets Amira Mohammed. One day, he buys his regular automobile and boards Amira's vehicle. The two fall in love and begin spending time together.
Ezra and Amira face off against competing cultures, generational differences, and societal expectations while their relationship is put to the test. A group of talented actors and actresses complement the comedic narrative, including Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Nia Long.

The main filming for the Jonah Hill starrer reportedly began in October 2021, and was reportedly completed in early December of the same year. Given the vast and varied landscape of California, the filming unit decided to shoot most of the film on location in the Western state!

The majority of the pivotal scenes for 'You People' are shot in and around Los Angeles County, the most populated county in California and the United States. The film's location for Erza meeting Amira's parents was shot inside the famous Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles in Hollywood.
Several important scenes, interiors as well as exteriors, from 'You People' are taped at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Crenshaw Boulevard and Stocker Street are also featured in a few sequences.
