The second call for the ICEX-Invest Innova Invest program in Spain is already underway. The initiative aims to encourage companies to pursue research and development activities in Spain, while enhancing the country's competitiveness and productivity.
Innova Invest is a program involving a grant of up to 800,000 euros per beneficiary. The minimum amount of the eligible items included in each application must be at least 500,000 euros. The activities must be performed in Spain for a period of 18 months.
The aid will be allocated exclusively to the project for the expenses of industrial research or experimental development projects that are included in the eligible concepts, such as: personnel, instruments, materials, buildings, and land, contractual research, knowledge, and patents acquired, among others.
The amount of eligible concepts will be determined as a percentage, based on the size of the organization and the type of project. These percentages may range from 70% for industrial research in small enterprises to 25% for experimental development in large enterprises.
According to the criteria of the call, access to aid will be granted on a competitive basis. These include employment, investment in technological resources dedicated to research and development, the promotion of collaboration agreements with public and private actors, and the continuity in the execution of research and development activities.
