Today, Arkane Austin presented more of its upcoming shooter Redfall at the Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct.
From exploring abandoned houses to how to customize your characters and how to use their unique abilities, the presentation will teach us what to expect from moment-to-moment gameplay.
There are no flashy cinematics here, but it plays as an open-world shooter, with an Arkane twist. You can see flashes of that in the environmental narration, how you can approach an encounter in many ways, and how intimate the scale is. During exploration of Redfall and combating vampires, you will only be walking on foot.
It's also interesting to note that the gameplay footage, as well as the overall message, is attempting to make Redfall a fully playable game entirely solo, but you can play with up to three others in a 4-player co-op.
Redfall will be available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S on May 2nd. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
