Turn 10 Studio gives an update on the upcoming Forza Motorsport game, which is simply named Forza Motorsport, at the Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct January 2023 broadcast.

The 20 tracks are confirmed for Forza Motorsport 7. Suzuka and Kyalami are five new locations to the series.

The following locations were highlighted in the program:

  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
  • Hakone
  • Kyalami
  • Laguna Seca
  • Maple Valley
  • Silverstone Circuit
  • Suzuka Circuit

Forza Motorsport supports fully dynamic time and weather, as shown in the presentation.

The rest of the presentation details how the designers have worked on the game to ensure that the paint appears to be genuine, that the sound is better (including some demonstrations of superchargers at work) and how dirt accumulated in the correct places of a car.

The spectators are all 3D animated, which is an oddity, but if you look back then, when people mocked the spectators' 2D sprites, it probably isn't a problem to mention.

Forza Motorsport is still working on a release date, but it will be available in 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
