Before marrying Microsoft, Obsidian was developing a God of War competitor game ...

Fergus Urquhart's last interview with NME provided a fascinating insight into the Obsidian co-founder's activities prior to Microsoft's acquisition in November 2018.

Obsidian Entertainment's prominent figure explains that his team, which was specialized in the simultaneous execution of many projects, was involved in the design of a video game "rival of God of War" (we don't know if it's cross-platform or Xbox exclusive).

Urquhart's title suggests that the first God of Warbut action adventure experience would have been inspired by a story that makes strong references to Jules Verne's famous novel Journey to the Earth's Core.

Obsidian's co-founder explains that his team worked on other video games as well: in those years, the Californian software house was also developing a platform adventure of Rick e Mortyan RPG based on The Walking Dead, and, believe it or not, an interactive experience centered on the reality show Cops!
