The next stretch of Dawn of DC titles for 2023 has been revealed by DC Comics, including information about the creative teams and future titles. Titans by Tom Taylor and Nicola Scott, Green Lantern by Jeremy Adams and Xermánico, and Cyborg by Morgan Hampton and Tom Raney
The rest of the series will be released in May, including "hidden" secrets that haven't been officially announced, cover art, and more information.
The DC Comics timeline to accompany this news has been released, which you can see below.
From left to right, we can see Superman and then Doom Patrol symbols. Then the highlight of this timeline are Shazam, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Titans, and Batman around the same time. After that, we can also see Wonder Woman and Hawkman's intentions.
Wait, let's brighten things up a bit:
With some enhanced brightening, we can see "The Return of the JL" and what appears to be "Knights Terrors" further down the timeline. Given the pace of things, it's also much clearer there are purple tentacles and what appears to be a skull at the center of the timeline. Could this mean Brainiac is this year's major bad?
Today's announcements are summarized in this video:
Titans in Dawn of DC
Starting this May, Tom Taylor (Nightwing, Jon Kent's Adventures in the DC Universe) and artist Nicola Scott (Wonder Woman: Historia, Earth 2) will bring the Titans to the forefront of the DC Universe.
Green Lantern is the latest character from Dawn of DC.
Green Lantern #1 will be available at local comic shops on May 9 and includes part one of the John Stewart Green Lantern story from writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Action Comics) and artist Osvaldo Montos (Entropy)—a war journal epic begins anew.
Cyborg in Dawn of DC
Morgan Hampton from the Milestone Initiative Talent Development Program joins forces with veteran artist Tom Raney (Green Lantern, Uncanny X-Men) to give Cyborg the DC Dawn he deserves starting on May 16!
Don't miss out on the AIPT staff's thoughts on all of the revelations from November.
