Obsidian aspired to develop a Walking Dead role-playing game and a Rick and Morty game ...

Obsidian Fergus Urquhart, the studio's president, gave a fascinating interview in recognition of the studio's 20th anniversary.

In one period, unrealized projects were mentioned, inspired by Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth.

The project to develop a game based on the universe "Walking Dead" however, they could not find a suitable publisher. It is believed that the project would be phased out as a result of Microsoft's acquisition of the studio in 2018.

The most bizarre idea turned out to be a documentary series called "Policemen" which was unappreciated by investors at all.

Fergus Urquhart is a British author.

Urukhart noted that Microsoft's purchase was a positive experience for their business both financially and environmentally. If the authors did not buy, it would be more difficult to develop projects that are interesting to them, and their price tag would rise at the same time.

Urukhart cited a sequel to The Outer Worlds 2 as an example, because the studio would have probably taken it anyway, but without Microsoft, they would not be able to develop in parallel to Avowed or be able to recruit 90 additional employees.
