'National Treasure: Edge of History' is set in the same world as the well-known 'National Treasure' films starring Nicolas Cage. Jess decides to go into a Mexican jail to uncover her father's whereabouts, and Agent Ross reluctantly prepares to arrest Jess.

Recap of the National Treasure: Edge of History in Episode 8

Oren (Jordan Rodrigues) and Tasha (Zuri Reed) both oppose Jess' plans to release her father from a Mexican prison. However, they believe Jess will try to do it alone if they do not agree with her recommendations. They remain steadfast in their determination to help Jess while Oren returns to the United States.

Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) meets the man in the prison. He turns out to be Rafael, not an imposter. Billie believes that Salazar murdered Sebastian. She also threatens Jess, provoking Rafael to plot his prison escape. He doesn't know that his daughter believes he is in danger. She plans to steal the treasure.

Billie enlists Rafael in his cell, and they successfully free him from prison. Someone shoots a sniper located in a watchtower of the prison wall, giving the fugitives time to escape. Jess is forced to surrender by Billie and his entourage.

Salazar is a mysterious but powerful antagonist throughout the series. Rafael's wife Manuela believed that Salazar and his men murdered her husband. Until recently, Billie believed that Salazar and his men murdered her brother. In this episode, the bearded man whom Jess and her friends encountered many times over the past few weeks appears out of nowhere.

Billie is a member of a secret organization that has the motto "Cras est nostrum" and is after the treasure. We will soon learn what Salazar really wants in it when Billie captures Jess and Rafael at the conclusion of episode 8.

In 'National Treasure: Edge of History,' Myles has spent years following Peter Sadusky's death. In episode 8, Billie lures Dario in by claiming that Liam is still alive. Billie and Liam then access Billie's network in Mexico.
