As Bungie works to resolve an issue, Destiny 2 is rendered inaccessible ...

Bungie has sent an outage to online help for Destiny 2 in order to address a concern raised by several players about the loss of progress. The title will be offline and inaccessible for a few hours today, January 25th.

The game has already been offline for a few hours, but Bungie's message states that work and testing must continue for some time as the issue hasn't been resolved with an initial intervention. A patched update is expected to be released today, 25 January 2023.

A such event, especially when it comes to Bungie and the series in question, implies a forced break for the community and isn't something that is often seen. Regardless, Bungie's problems appeared to be greater than expected.

Several players have discovered the decline in achievements, seals, and catalysts in Destiny 2, which has prompted Bungie to investigate the problem.

The team promised to release a fix patch between 12:00 and 13:00 today, though the timing might vary.
