The fee includes shipping charges and is billed monthly for Prime customers; it is fixed and does not increase based on the number of orders. Conditions covered include allergies, diabetes (excluding insulin), and anemia.

According to Amazon, more than 150 million Americans are using one or more of the RxPass medications. A complete list of orders may be seen on the website.

The original Amazon Care telemedicine program (launched in 2019) was phased out in favor of the new Amazon Clinic telemedicine service; also since 2020, the Amazon Pharmacy online pharmacy has been operating (where RxPass subscriptions are issued).

The RxPass subscription is already available in most states in the United States, and it hasn't been announced whether the company intends to expand the service beyond the United States. Medicare, Medicaid, or any other public health program are excluded from RxPass, although they may purchase prescriptions from Amazon Pharmacy through public insurance.
