Fortnite, a popular action battle royale, had not updated its mobile version in over a year. This is due to Epic Games' approved complaints with Apple and Google, which resulted in the removal of the game from their mobile stores in August of 2020. As a result, Android and iOS users have been subjected to a new set of limitations that have hampered their enjoyment of the game.
Users who continue to use the 13.40 version of the Fortnite app on January 30, will be required to follow a new set of guidelines.
Fortnite mobile will no longer be able to earn V-bucks from this date forward, and all players will have to be 18 or older to play. This is largely due to Apple and Google's restrictions on their respective platforms.
As Epic Games' founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney vaguely stated that the game might be released on the AppStore sometime this year.
