The average amount of each purchase decreased by 26% during last Christmas, compared to the previous year. This is what Aplazame, a flexible payment platform, has developed in the United Kingdom.

The most extensive online shopping occurred on the 2nd, on the eve of the Three Kings feastivity, and on the 5th, which comprised more than 13% of the total Christmas expenditure.

Because of the difficulty in completing online purchases on the same day, the reason why the On January 5the eve of the Three Kings festivity, is one of the ones that accumulates the highest amount of sales.

Based on the data registered in Aplazame's own payment platform, a survey was conducted between December 1, 2022 and January 5, 2023.

Women are more interested in toys, decorations, fashion, jewelry, costume jewelery, and educational programs, while men prefer electronic goods, photography equipment, sporting goods, and services related to the automobile.

Men spend twice as much on each purchase, as does women on jewelry purchases.

Madrid and Barcelona, the provinces that accounted for 27% of sales, followed by Valencia, Murcia, and Seville.

Insular Spain, the highest average purchases were recorded: Las Palmas, Palma de Mallorca, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, followed by Guipzcoa, Barcelona, and Madrid.
