Players were surprised by the download speed of Forspoken on a PC with DirectStorage technology, but ...

Sei, a member of the ResetEra forum, has shared a video demonstrating download speeds on PC for Square Enix's open-world fantasy RPG Forspoken, which was released today, January 24th.

On the eve of the release of Square Enix's PC version, we promise "extremely fast" downloads, achieved via DirectStorage technology. Owners of already fast NVMe drives may benefit the most from it.

With the help of DirectStorage, the PC version of Forspoken boots very swiftly on NVMe, as Sei demonstrated. One might even say.

Other ResetEra users were impressed with the download speed of Forspoken: PC version.

Grips says; "I hope this becomes the norm," Greebman added; "Heck." BoroLoblaw is irritated; "R.I.P., checking your phone the moment the loading screen appears," nsilvias says goodbye; "Magic."

Forspoken is now available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, and PS5), but it was hampered by average scores on Metacritic. Along with the full release, a demo version was released for Sony console back in December.
