Microsoft has released the figures for the second quarter of fiscal year 2023. In the gaming industry, the Redmond company has seen a decrease in revenue on nearly every frontstart, from the hardware to the services, and first and third-party products.
Microsoft claims the drop in Xbox hardware was partially offset by growth in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
Microsoft declared that Xbox Game Pass had grown to 25 million subscribers last year, but since then the Redmond company has not provided further information and there are no specific references in the new financial report.
Microsoft cut off roughly 10,000 employees earlier this year, but it was nevertheless determined that it was necessary, according to Xbox division leader Phil Spencer.
