Sheryl Lee Ralph and Babyface are bringing their talents to the field when they are announced as the opening acts for Super Bowl LVII at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. On February 12, both will sing solo before the kickoff.
While the legendary R&B singer will sing "America the Beautiful," Abbott Elementary will sing the Black national anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Country music sensation Chris Stapleton will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner."
Mickey Guyton sang the centuries-old ballad before the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022. Mary Mary and the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles harmonise the songs.
CODA Award winner Troy Kotsur will sing Stapleton's national anthem, and deaf performer Justina Miles will sing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and provide the ASL version of the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show; and Colin Denny, a Deaf Native American, will sign "America the Beautiful."
Babyface expressed her gratitude on Twitter.
