The Neighborhood has been renewed by CBS for a sixth season.
The Neighborhood, starring Cedric the Entertainer, Beth Behrs, and Tichina Arnold, was released in October 2018. Set in California, the series follows a white family from the Midwest who settles in a predominantly Black area on the West coast.
According to a press release, the comedy series, which is currently in its fifth season, attracts 6.13 million viewers on Monday at 8:00 p.m., and an audience of over 7.3 million people is expected to view live+35 days on linear and streaming platforms.
The Neighborhood is the No. 3 comedy series on Paramount+ for total minutes seen, up +60% year over year, and among African American viewers, it is the No. 1 comedy.
"The Neighborhood has become a hit because to not only laughing, but also telling stories of cultural impact," said CBS Entertainment CEO Amy Reisenbach.
“From gentrification to Black Lives Matter, to addiction and pregnancy loss, the incredible writers and this amazing cast push boundaries and endlessly entertain us.”
