Miley Cyrus is one of the most successful singers in the music industry at the moment and continues to create excellent music. However, Cyrus recently achieved a significant personal milestone with her latest song 'Flowers,' which was no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cyrus' song "Flowers" took the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart in its first week of release. She now has a record for her second number-one single after Wrecking Ball held the top spot for three weeks in 2013.
"Flowers" sets a new Spotify record for the most streams in a single week, with 96 million streams. The lead single from her next eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, will be released on March 10.
The song contested the number-one spot against SZA's "Kill Bill," a highlight from her sophomore album, SOS, and Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero," which had held the position for eight weeks in a row. "Kill Bill" follows "Flowers," and "Anti-Hero" is currently third.
Fans have noted that the lyrics make it appear as though she is singing about Liam Hemsworth, her ex-husband. The lyrics have a dual meaning, describing both the breakdown of their relationship over time and the costly Malibu house they shared that was destroyed in a 2018 wildfire.
