Nia Long has revealed that she was rejected from the Charlie's Angels cast in the 2000 film because she was deemed "too advanced" and "old" to play Drew Barrymore.

Long clears the air while also praises Lucy Liu, who would eventually appoint Alex Munday in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment.

“It's the worst fattest lie,” the heartthrob stated. “But I thought Lucy Liu was terrific in that role.”

"I don't know if I was quite prepared for that." I don't, you can't do everything, and every opportunity isn't for you. And as much as it might have been fun to play that character, Big Momma's House was probably more enjoyable for me."

In light of missing out on Charlie's Angels, Love Jones actress expressed her gratitude to Martin Lawrence and the others he opened doors for in the entertainment industry.

"And working with Martin Lawrence, another gifted comedian whom I have a great deal of respect for... You know, the turnover [in this industry] is so frequent that we forget about the guys who came and allowed Black people to have success in television."

The You People thespian continued. "Do you know how many people worked for Martin Lawrence?" she asked. "She's a legend. "She's a triple threat." When you see Tisha Campbell in School Daze, I'm mesmerized by her growing up, her dancing, her singing. She's a triple threat."
