Justin Bieber is a well-known player in the music industry for a variety of reasons. His dedication to the business has paid out in dividends. Bieber sold his song catalog for more than $200 million.
Hipgnosis Songs Capital acquired 290 titles from the artist. According to Variety, the founder and CEO of Hipgnosis Song Management Merck Mercuriadis talked about the purchase. He is one of the largest acquisitions for an artist under the age of 70.
Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's managing director, addressed the sale. He thanked Merck, his entire Hipgnosis team, and all of their partners for putting their efforts into this historic agreement. Braun pointed out that Justin's greatness is just the beginning.
“I want to thank Merck and his entire Hipgnosis team, as well as all of our partners, for putting so much effort into making this historic transaction a reality.”
Scoot Braun confessed in an interview from last year that he regretted the way he handled the Taylor Swift catalog purchase. Hipgnosis purchased Justin Timberlake's music catalog last year for around $100 million. Keep an eye on Thirsty for more information.
