Square Enix has announced a PC demo that will be released very shortly ...

Square Enix and Luminous Productions have announced that a Forspoken PC demo will be released on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. The game will be released at 17:00 today, January 24, 2023. So let's assume that the demo will be available soon after.

The official site of Il Luminous Productions is very clear: “Square Enix and Luminous Productions have today also released a free demo for PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store). Players will be able to face various enemies in the PC demo, which will prepare them for the kind of fast-paced action they can expect from the whole game.”

The Forspoken PC demo isn't available at this time, although we expect it to be similar if not identical to the one released on PS5. It should therefore offer a free exploration of the game world, as well as a series of secondary tasks that allow the player to try out the combat system and magical parkour.

The prophesied puts us in the shoes of Frey, a girl who is teleported to Athia's world. There, she gains magical powers and the support of a talking bracelet as she fights the Tantas, corrupted matriarchs.

Forspoken is a huge waste of opportunity: a game that has excellent mechanics and perhaps the best magic system we've ever seen in an action game, yet which is only further reinforced by a dismal narrative full of clichés. The experience is enjoyable for anyone who loves to experiment, yet we nevertheless hope that what has been achieved with this title will be extended for something else.
