Square Enix and Luminous Productions have announced that a forspoken PC demo will be released on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. The game will be released at 17:00 today, January 24, 2023. So let's assume that the demo will be available by then or shortly afterwards.
According to the official website of Il Luminous Productions, gamers will be able to play several enemies and put to the test their fighting abilities with a massive arsenal of offensive and support spells that will prepare them for the kind of fast-paced action they can expect from the full game.
The Forspoken PC demo will have no specific content, but we assume it will be similar, if not identical, to the one released on PS5 and should therefore offer a piece of the game world that is freely explorable, with a series of secondary tasks that allow the player to try out the combat system and magical parkour.
The prophesied puts us in the shoes of Frey, a young girl who is teleported to Athia. There, she discovers magical powers and the support of a talking bracelet as she fights the Tantas, corrupted matriarchs.
Forspoken was described as a "a waste of time": a game that has excellent mechanics and perhaps the best magic system we've ever seen in an action game, yet which is anchored by a sour narrative of cliches, yet which retains the experience in all other ways. We wish that what has been done with this title will be continued and used for something more exceptional.
