Din Djarin asks the Armorer to melt his spear in Beskar in order to make a very durable chain mail. In episode 6, The Stranger from the Desert, he finds him and helps him. He recalls the deaths of his Jedi guardians.

Ahsoka Tano stops Din Djarin, who says that he no longer is an orphan, but a Padawan. If he goes to see Grogu, the latter will suffer or want to leave, thus ending his training, or he will never see Mando again. As he accepts, Luke tells Grogu that he can take the chainmail and honor his attachment to those he loves, while denying the Jedi's way.

The Mandalorian's final chapter is titled In the Name of Honor. Grogu made his decision, and he left the ship dressed in his coat of mail in Beskar. He later saves a Rancor.
