ENISA, a national innovation company formerly affiliated to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, will commemorate its 40th anniversary last year. Since its founding, the entity has expanded its name and established its status as a public authority in the entrepreneurial environment and for small enterprises.
Given the fact that the number of loans approved in this past year increased significantly, it reached a total of 642 operations in 2022, compared to a total of 71.6 million euros in 2021, thus becoming the largest annual investment in its history with a number of record approvals.
The number of funding requests received this year was 1,717, for an amount of more than 412.3 million euros, albeit somewhat lower than those for the year 2021.
ENISA has announced that it would have an initial budget of more than 130 million euros, pending the materialization of the respective agreements for the provision of lines with the Ministry of Industry and other ministries that contributed funds from both the General State Budget (PGE) and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
With a strong commitment to innovative entrepreneurship and the transformation of the country's economic model, this is the largest budget in its history.
ENISA will exercise additional powers in connection with the recently approved Startup Law and the formation of the Spanish Entrepreneurial Nation Brand.
