Destiny 2: Lightfall: Krasser Conversion: New Loadout and Mod System

Destiny 2: Lightfall: Krasser Conversion: New Loadout and Mod System ...

Destiny 2 receives new content, but also many game elements, as well as a new feature thanks to the upcoming Lightfall expansion.

Destiny 2 is all about the hero's four powers, but also about weapons and mods. It's no wonder fans have been wanting a loadout system for ages, since until now it was a very laborious process that required constant manual swapping of weapons, armor, and mods.

This should finally happen with Destiny 2: Lightfall. Bungie has presented the new equipment that will be used with the next expansion. A new loadout system allows you to create, save, and even share up to ten different loadouts and of course equip them with the push of a button.

All mods will be unlocked when you reach guardian rank 6, which should happen fairly quickly due to retrospective accomplishments. The weapons-specific mods are being phased out, but new ones should focus more on elemental damage.

Artifact mods no longer need to be equipped, but are allowed to have up to 12 active perks in their loadouts, although other modifications may be combined or completely overhauled from season to season.

In addition to weapon mods, certain class attacks now work automatically against champions, while other Stasis or Arc effects work against Unstoppables. Artifact mods that work against champions still exist, but they are unlocked at the same time.

That's fantastic, because the opaque mod system has been waiting for a long time for some improvements, and finally being able to create adequate loadouts, for example for the different elements, is a very welcome addition. It is to be hoped that massive changes will not cause any more balancing difficulties.

Starting February 28th, you can check out the new features on the Bungie Blog or try them out directly in Destiny 2: Lightfall.
