Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will be released on February 15, 2023, two weeks after originally planned. The in-game battle pass had previously been counted down to around February 1, 2023.
Season 1 of COD will have lasted roughly two and a half months, which is unusually long for the current generation of COD.
Activision stated that it would make "significant changes" based on"player feedback, although it's unclear what the details are. Along with Season 2, additional multiplayer maps, modes, and weapons will also be included in Modern Warfare II.
Activision has announced that Resurgence mode will be reinstated alongside a new "small map" for Warzone 2.0, similar to the first installment, which has long been a major discussion point, since Warzone 2.0 was released in November 2022.
The majority of gamers in the community has been critical of Warzone 2.0 in part due to its stale weapon meta and lack of meaningful support since its release. It's unfortunate that Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 have been delayed for two weeks, but the fact that so much content has been promised makes the wait worthwhile.
