Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is losing more players than planned, according to several sources, including the well-known creator CharlieINTEL, who has spent years studying the Activision franchise's history and is considered to be quite trustworthy.
The Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Resurgence map is expected to arrive in the near future, and this move could be understood as a reaction from the developers to an unexpected situation, with ausers bleeding which was previously unknown.
"We have heard from several people confirming that the player count in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has decreased at a higher rate than anticipated," wrote CharlieINTEL. "It is unclear what this might mean at this point, and what adjustments will be made."
JGOD, a YouTuber, has verified the reports, at least in terms of steam usage. The peak of 452,093 users in mid-November followed by a decline that resulted in a jump of more than 73% from the start.
Activision will have to react quickly to correct the situation, which will likely drive the publisher to increase its updates and content: we'll see how things go.
