Clayton Echard, 29, and Susie Evans, 29, have both suffered with a broken heart. Both posted a picture on Instagram on September 23, and they both said, "We wanted to announce that we have decided to separate ways. This is a difficult decision to make and not one to take lightly."
“We understand that there will be a lot of questions about this decision,” the couple said. Claysie (as fans called them) continued to state that despite the many positive moments, there has still been “significant amount of pain.” And that they were “unprepared for external forces that hindered our ability to heal as individuals but also as a couple.”
Despite the fact, the two TV personalities are "focused on continuing to strive for ourselves, so we may be the best version of ourselves." Following their split, they said they will still "support" one another post-split. "We hope that our communities may continue to support us individually as we proceed with love and respect for each other," their joint post concluded.
Susie and the former Bachelor star met during Season 26 of the popular ABC dating program. They did not initially meet up on the show, but actually got together after the dramatic conclusion. During his season, Clayton had told all three finalists that he was in love with them.
Clayton accepted his offer of friendship to the other two women, but she then asked for a second chance with her. “I was completely shocked by how everything ended,” Susie said during the final rose ceremony. They did not officially give him another chance until the season finished.
