Walla Walla was shot by a Washington State Patrol trooper.
A member of the Washington State Patrol was shot on Thursday night in Walla Walla. According to Trooper Sarah Clasen, the incident occurred at the intersection of Myra Road and Poplar Street, not far from Sportsman's Warehouse.
According to Clasen, he was shot in the arm. The trooper was conscious and attentive as he drove the 1.5 miles down West Poplar Street to the Providence St. Mary Medical Center at 401 W. Poplar Street. Nobody was aware immediately how he was doing.
After a brief search, a suspect was apprehended at 6 o'clock. According to Clasen, the WSP spoke with the criminal earlier in the day.
The quest reportedly endeared south of Walla Walla and centered on an older, smaller gray automobile.
Due to law enforcement actions, Highway 11 in Oregon was closed at the Washington state/Oregon state line around 6:45 p.m.
