At the Sidney LA premiere, Cher and Oprah Winfrey make rare red carpet appearances ...

Cher, who plays the singer of "Believe," wore a white button-up with transparent sleeves and a heart-shaped diamond earrings on the red carpet. She also wore her jet black hair in a stylish half-up-half-down look for the night out. There was, however, a pop of color with Cher's shimmery red eyes.

Wednesday night was a special night for the two icons who stepped out for a premiere eight months after the passing of actor and director Sidney Poitier. Sidney is a documentary film that chronicles the legendary life of the late actor.

Sidney's entire family was present for the premiere. Sydney Tamiia Poitier, 48, and his sisters all wore their dresses on the red carpet with their sisters. Gina Poitier, who passed away in 2018, was also present for a group photo with Sidney's daughters.

Sheryl Lee Ralph of Moesha, Sheryl Bell Calloway of Saints and Sinners, and Diana Ross' son, Evan Ross, were also there to pay tribute to the late actor for the highly anticipated documentary.

Oprah appeared on the red carpet because she loves the new documentary, but she also appeared in the film! "When you grow up in a community where everything you know is powerful and good, and it's Black, there's no concept of race," Oprah said. At the end of the trailer, Oprah and the late actor were seen kissing on the set of her talk show. "I love him so much," she added through tears.
