Marcus "djWheat" Graham has announced that he would take on the role of vice president of community development at Fortis, a new game publisher and developer.

Graham was the site's nineteenth employee for ten years, and at different times, he was the site's director of programming, head of Twitch Studios, and head of creator development. Before that, he was an early, well-known game commentator and shoutcaster. He announced his retirement from Twitch in November 2021.

Fortis, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands, was founded in March. According to Steven Chiang, Graham has made a career of forming communities where none existed before; without him, neither esports nor game streaming would exist today. We knew we needed a person who could help us move games toward the future we know players deserve.

Graham stated in a statement that joining Fortis allows me to concentrate on what interests me the most — community and its potential to transform the game industry. This statement cannot be true unless you are truly committed to community.
