Satisfactory, Coffee Stain's first-person factory and automation builder game, has released Update 6 to the Early Access branch today.

The Experimental branch has had the update since late June, but it is now available to everyone, although there are some new features that have not been added to Early Access.

Update 6 is all about improving the exploration capabilities and how you interact with the world, including an overhaul of two biomes (Spire Coast and Swamp), a better sky and the addition of rain, as well as an overhaul of the local fauna. No more seeing pigs just circling you before charging straight, something that remained constant until this update.

The map and the Radar Tower also get a makeover. The map is available earlier (by completing Tier 1 rather than deep in the MAM tech tree), and markers can be placed from the map rather than having to remove beacons.

Ammo for weapons has been revamped to include different kinds now, including different types for the Nobelisk grenades. A new resource has been added, and how you unlock ammo in the MAM tech tree is changed, so you'll need to start some new assembly lines for them.

Update 6 includes a Boom Box, which can be carried around and played for various reasons, including the cursed soundtrack from Coffee Stain's other game Goat Simulator. Different tapes can be purchased in the AWESOME Shop, while some can be found throughout the world.

The full patch notes can be seen here.

Satisfactory 6 is now live. It's currently available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) as an Early Access title.
