Deathverse: Let It Die is a new free-to-play game that will be released on September 28. It's not exactly the same as its predecessor, but it's nonetheless a great deal of fun.
Deathverse is a sequel to Let It Die, a free-to-play arena game that was released in 2016, thousands of years after the events of that game. The player characters are contestants on the game show "Death Jamboree," where they must compete for bloodthirsty viewers. It's a bizarre, twisted world with as much violence as color, and the player can customize their avatar to fit the environment.
The gameplay seemed to be a mix of melee combat and platforming, with players attempting to kill each other in a manner typical of a battle royale. It's unknown if the style will make up for it in the finished product.
Hunters are introduced at a certain point in the game to help out any remaining players. The canny player will be able to exploit the Hunters to their advantage, avoiding unnecessary danger to themselves. It's PvPvE, with a very focused and deadly "E" component.
Deathverse: Let It Die will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC in a week via Steam.
