In the upcoming Suzume anime film, RADWIMPS joins up with Makoto Shinkai for the third time ...

RADWIMPS and Makoto Shinkai are an amazing team, and they will be in charge of the music score for their next anime film Suzume (Suzume no Tojimari) together with the composer Kazuma Jinnouchi. Toaka, the female vocalist behind the theme song "Suzume," which can be seen in the previously released teaser, has been revealed to be a TikTok sensation.

Suzume no Tojimari Film, directed by Maskoto Shinkai, receives a novel adapted by RADWIMPS, and is now available for purchase as part of WE ARE ONE.

Yojiro Noda (RADWIMPS) said of his collaboration with Kazuma Jinnouchi on Makoto Shinkai's Suzume: "It has given me an experience I cannot describe in words." The process of developing a sound that can coexist with RADWIMPS' amazing mood and energy was both fascinating and nerve-wracking for me, but ultimately we've settled on one of the options.

Their remarks on the film include:

Suzume's anime film's official synopsis: Suzume, 17, gets lost in a quiet area in Kyushu when she encounters a young man who declares, "I'm looking for a door." What Suzume discovers is a single weathered door that stands firm in the midst of ruin... Doors begin to open one after another all over Japan, causing havoc upon anyone who enters them. It was as though all time had passed by."
