In a new trailer, the Chainsaw Man anime revealed Kenshi Yonezu's opening theme song "KICK BACK," as well as new cast members. Artists include Aimer, Eve, Vaundy, and TK from Ling tosite Sigure. The final ending theme will also be used as an insert song. On October 11, the anime will premiere.
Kenjiro Tsuda will play Kishibe, Mariya Ise is Himeno, Karin Takahashi is Kobeni Higashiyama, Pochita is Shiori Izawa, and Taku Yashiro will play Hirokazu Arai in the anime premiere, where the main cast and director were present.
The first trailer for the Chainsaw Man anime was released in June of last year. The studio previously announced plans to hire and train animators to work on this and future projects. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime overseas.
In August, the third trailer for the anime was released, and the previously announced cast includes:
- Kikunosuke Toya as Denji
- Tomori Kusunoki as Makima
- Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa
- Fairouz Ai as Power
The anime is based on a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first part was initially distributed from 2018 to 2020 and ended after 97 chapters and 11 volumes. The second part, dubbed Part 2, began on July 13 on the Shonen Jump+ platform.
Denji is a poor young man who will pay anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet demon Pochita. He's a straightforward guy who lives paycheck to paycheck, but his miserable life gets turned upside down one day when he's betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the ability of a devil inside him, Denji's becomes a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
