Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen Gets a Teaser Visual, and a 2023 Premiere Date ...

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has revealed a teaser visual and a release date for the film in 2023. Studio MAPPA is animating the sequel. A special program will be held tomorrow, as previously announced last month, along with a release of a key visual for the "The Origin of Blind Obedience" arc. Jujutsu Kaisen will also have its own stage at the upcoming Toho Animation 10th Anniversary Event, on September 25.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on a manga by Gege Akutami that is currently being serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga was released on March 5, 2018, and 20 volumes are currently out. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English. The manga reached 70 million copies earlier this August.

The MAPPA-directed anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen premiered in 2020, and the same studio directed the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel film, which is based on a one-shot manga of the same name.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describing the plot as:Yuji Itadori, a little boy who lives a completely ordinary high school existence. One day, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul... and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse.
