Rifujin na Magonote, the author of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, has announced that he intends to write a new story set in the Mushoku universe. However, the novel, which should take place about 80 years after the original, will not be written exclusively as a Mushoku sequel, according to the author.

Rifujin na Magonote is an author best known for the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation light novel. He is also currently working on the Orc Eroica light novel, which follows a hero who wants to extend his conquests to the bedroom.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

The light novel Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has been serialized under Media Factory's MF Bunko imprint since 2014, featuring Shirotaka's illustrations. The web novel was originally published as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, which hosts user-generated content, and the final volume will be published on November 25, with the 26th volume.

Yuka Fujikawa's Mushoku Tensei anime adaptation is currently underway. The anime adaptation for the Eris spin-off manga is also being serialized at the moment. The first season of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime was revealed recently, along with a premiere date for 2023.

Seven Seas is releasing the light novel in English, which begins the story as: An unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he's hit rock bottom, just as he's hit and killed by a speeding truck! Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his previous mistakes as he embarks on a new adventure!
