Will there be a Dahmer Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Season 2? ...

This article discusses the possibility of Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Season 2 returning or canceled. It may contain spoilers.

The fascination for serial killers in contemporary culture is continuing to grow, and Ryan Murphy's Dahmer — Monster is the latest entry into the storied subgenre of "famous actors playing demented murderers," which launches in October, as well as a long-time Murphy collaborator Evan Peters' portrayal of the notorious Milwaukee Monster.

This series misleads humanity with a gloomy, torture-p**n aesthetic that barely shows the suffering of the young men Dahmer targeted. Despite that lurid hook, people will be interested in the show's future.

Will there be a Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Season 2?

Status: Cancelled

The limited series was always designed to be a one-and-done affair. It chronicles Dahmer's life and crimes, and it concludes his life in jail, along with the sense of closure that comes with it. There is no room for the series to really develop, however successful it is for the viewer.

Despite the concept, Ryan Murphy never came across an idea he couldn't forego. From Ted Bundy to John Wayne Gacy — who appears in the conclude of this series; John Carroll Lynch is apparently listening to this as I type this — to perhaps lesser-known psychos, it appears like a suggestion that Netflix and the vast potential demographic would be interested in.

We'll have to wait and see. Regardless, a mainstream audience's desire for the macabre practically guarantees that even though we might not see another season of this program again, we'll likely see one very much like it sooner rather than later.

On Netflix, you may watch Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story exclusively.
