Anything is possible, including Jason Sudekis joining FIFA 23 as Ted Lasso along with the guys over at AFC Richmond.
EA Sports made the announcement this week as we get closer to the release date of FIFA 23 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC, and Stadia on September 30. Early access starts Sept. 27.
Ted Lasso, the beloved Jason Sudeikis, will be available as a selectable manager of AFC Richmond in Career Mode. Fans may also choose to choose their favorite mustachioed manager to manage AFC Richmond, or choose a real-world licensed manager to take control of AFC Richmond, or create a Player and join the AFC Richmond squad in a league of their choice, according to a press release.
Fans will be able to play as AFC Richmond as part of the 'Rest of the World' league in Kick Off, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons, with Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt, Sam Obisanya, and Dani Rojas all playing as part of the Greyhounds' squad in FIFA 23.
Jason Sudeikis said in a press release that he believes this experience to be one of his finest achievements in his career. "Having Ted Lasso and the whole AFC Richmond squad join the cast and crew on this show is a dream come true for me and the rest of the cast."
My only question is, will there be chants? Because obviously Roy Kent is every f**king where.
"To be in FIFA is absolutely awesome." Brett Goldstein, who plays AFC Richmond player Roy Kent, said in the press release. "He'll be raged."
