The Pokmon GOs Fashion Week event will resume next week, with Mareanie making its debut ...

The Test Your Mettle event in Pokémon GO will come to an end soon, and there will be a bit of a break with events happening in-game. However, Niantic is still working on the next Pokémon GO event – the Fashion Week event!

Fashion Week-themed Costume Pokémon are back! For the first time, some Pokémon will be launching their own shop in the Alola region – Mareanie (and Toxapex) on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022.

The following new additions to the Costumed Pokémon category will be released this year: Diglett and Dugtrio wearing a bowler hat, Absol wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses, and Toxicroak wearing a backwards baseball cap. (Note: Niantic refers to Fashion Week Pokémon as "Pokémon wearing a stylish costume," but I need to add some flair to the text and mention what they're actually wearing.)

If Toxicroak sounds familiar, it's because Croagunk wearing a backwards baseball cap debuted last year and will be making a return this year: Butterfree with a bow, Kirlia with a bowler hat and bow, Shinx with a bowler hat, and Smoochum with a bow.

Gothita, Frillish (Female-only), Eevee, Skitty, Glameow, Furfrou, Scraggy, and Mega Lopunny will be there during the event.

It wouldn't be Fashion Week without some new trainer threads. A Mareanie-inspired outfit and a black and white outfit will be available through the in-game shop for Trainers shortly.

Before the Fashion Week event begins next week, enjoy the next few event-free days in Pokémon GO by discovering the Season of Light's seasonal Pokémon in the wild, Raids, and eggs.
