Fat Joe claims that Big L once asked for his help with beef with Ma$e ...

Fat Joe may be as hot a commodity as he is ever been, but the Bronx rapper has been building his brand for quite some time. In the early 1990s, Joe was invited to witness various incidents and encounters that have become legendary among rap fans.

Joe remembers being summoned by Big L to assist him in settling a disagreement at a New York nightclub by Angie Martinez. He was also from Harlem. “He's my brotha, you know, since Diggin' in the Crates. And when I come up, it's fckin' Ma$e!” Joe continued.

Fat Joe was working with Bad Boy Records CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs and had recently become friends with Ma$e, making the confrontation a particularly dangerous one. "He's like, 'For real?!'," the rapper said, before turning to him to say, "Right, Joe."

Joe believes Ma$e would never trust him again in his life after that. “I don't think Ma$e ever trusted me again in my life after that,” he said.
