Jennifer Hudson and Sheryl Lee Ralph Have a Special Dreamgirls Moment

Jennifer Hudson and Sheryl Lee Ralph Have a Special Dreamgirls Moment ...

Sheryl Lee Ralph, a newly-minted Emmy winner, will join Jennifer Hudson on the latest EGOT winner's talk show to discuss Ralph's famous acceptance address and pay tribute to their shared Dreamgirls legacy.

Ralph was cast in the Broadway revival of the "Dreamgirls" musical in 1981, alongside Loretta Devine and Jennifer Holliday. "That was another fantastic centerstage moment," she recalls taking the photo. "We were so relieved because we knew we had a hit on their hands."

Ralph coached Hudson on the musical's choreography while rocking bright pink boas to the melody of the classic titular song.

As Ralph declared she's keeping the boa, Hudson joked, "I'm so sorry." The two women were later embraced as the singer of "Spotlight" shed back tears.

Ralph reminisced on her Emmy nomination, revealing how the award didn't sink in until she was embraced by Seth Meyers. Naturally, she'd forgotten all of that preparation until the occasion. However, the Broadway actress gave herself a quick pep talk. "Gather yourself 'cause this is your moment."
