Producers of James Bond are still looking for the next 007 ...

Fans were imagining which actor would take Craig's place in the next movies, after saying their final goodbyes to the role of James Bond after 15 years. Despite the fact, fans do have their wishes.

Daniel Craig portrayed James Bond in the 2006 film Casino Royale, and he reprised the role in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and last year's No Time to Die. Before that film was released, it was clear that Craig would not play Bond again, but almost a year after No Time to Die was released, there is still no word on who the next James Bond will be.

On social media, fans have mentioned that they want Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, and Tom Hiddleston to take on the role, but we must remember that all of them are currently part of big franchises, and playing James Bond is a huge undertaking, which the producers have also recently acknowledged. Idris Elba was also mentioned as one of the possible candidates, but the actor recently said he doesn't see himself as James Bond.

“We love Idris. The problem is, Bond will be a couple of years off. He's probably thinking, ‘Do I really want that thing?’ Barbara Broccoli for Variety

Daniel Craig was 38 years old when he played Bond for the first time in Casino Royale. Idris Elba is now 50. Of course, Elba is in good shape, but it's very difficult to pull off that decade-or-longer commitment for the franchise with him. Henry Cavill, who is now 39, is one of the most popular actors.

It's going to take a while before we know who will be the next James Bond. Who would you like to see in the role of the most popular agent?

Next December, we will watch Daniel Craig in Netflix's Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
