After months of rumors, Marvel and EA have finally confirmed that a new single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man video game is in early development at Motive Studio in Montreal. The team is headed by Olivier Proulx, who has experience developing previous Marvel titles like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and is supported by a committed group of industry veterans including Ian Frazier, Malenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier.
The game will have an original narrative that takes a look back at Iron Man's rich history, channeling Tony Stark's charm, and creative genius, while enabling players to experience what it's like to play Iron Man.
Marvel Games' Vice President and Creative Director Bill Rosemann said:
Motive Studio has the experience and passion to create fan-favorite worlds for players to explore and be their own hero, including experience developing titles like Star Wars Squadrons and the upcoming Dead Space remake on 27 January 2023.
Executive Producer Olivier Proulx said: "It's a joke."
The game is currently in the pre-production stage, and Iron Man is one of several new games.
As of now, there is no release date or confirmed platforms.
