Andrew Wilson, EA's CEO, sees the confusion surrounding future Call of Duty titles as a "huge opportunity" for the Battlefield franchise.

EA's CEO Andrew Wilson discussed the Battlefield series and how it might better capitalize on the confusion surrounding future Call of Duty titles' console exclusivity.

Wilson believes Battlefield is one of the greatest first-person shooter franchises. They'll notice that people have been capturing these incredible moments inside the Battlefield franchise for the longest time.

Wilson believes that DICE failed to deliver in the last two iterations of the series in a manner that was expected of it. However, he said that Battlefield is an exceptional intellectual property. According to him, IP resilience is an important factor in the world of entertainment.

Following Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, EA CEO made some interesting remarks on the question mark on Call of Duty console exclusivity. According to Wilson, in a world where there may be disagreements about the future of Call of Duty and what platforms might be on or might not be on, being platform agnostic and completely cross-platform with Battlefield offers a "tremendous opportunity."
