Sony is absolutely against buying Activision-Blizzard due to the fact that the Call of Duty franchise might be exclusive to Xbox console platforms, but EA CEO Andrew Wilson is not letting any sleep over this decision. He believes the Battlefield franchise will benefit from this acquisition.

Wilson claims that the uncertainty about Call of Duty's future and which platforms it will be available on might benefit Battlefield, as it's a platform-agnostic game.

I think the Battlefield franchise may benefit from all the help it can get given that the previous two Battlefield games (Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042) failed to live up to the publisher's expectations.
