Britney Spears, 40, and Elton John, 75, released their new song, "Hold Me Closer," earlier this week, and are now going one step further with a stunning music video, according to a source. "It is in the very beginning stages of development, and they are trying to figure out how to convey the message that this song conveys."
The insider said Britney and her colleagues have discussed this video with Elton, and they have had meetings on it. "She is now ready for this video."
On August 26, Britney and Elton released a remix of their 1971 hit song, "Tiny Dancer." The jam has a techno-infused beat and has fans of both artists singing along and dancing to it in social media videos and beyond. Even Britney's old pal Paris Hilton took to Instagram to post a video of herself dancing along in a pink outfit and near a pink automobile.
Britney shared a video in which she sat in a bathtub and wrote her own message to Elton John, claiming that the song had reached number one in 40 countries. “I'm in the tub right now, and I'm about to have the greatest day ever,” she said.
Elton also expressed his excitement when he shared a tweet on the day of the release. “I wanted to do a fun, happy summer song so was ecstatic when @britneyspears agreed to be a part of it! She is an icon, one of the all-time greatest pop stars, and I hope you all enjoy it!” he wrote.
